Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 tbsp milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 0.5 cup diced onions
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.25 tsp pepper
- 3 tbsp plain bread crumbs
Directions
- Saute onions in olive oil. Set aside to cool.
- Combine wisked egg, milk, worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.
- In medium bowl break ground beef up into small pieces.
- To meat add bread crumbs & stir. To this add onions and egg mixture and stir.
- Make into 1 1/2 inch balls.
- Brown in olive oil in deep kettle. Take meatballs out of the kettle and set aside in a bowl.
- To make gravy to cook meatballs in: Add 1/4 cup flour to the kettle with meatballs and oil drippings to make a paste. If not wet enough add oil. Keep the burner on low while stirring until the flour browns.
- To this mix add 8 oz of hot water and stir very quickly with a whisk.
- Put meatballs and bowl drippings into gravy, Cook 20-30 minutes on med-low heat.
Recipe Notes:
Don't use a non-stick surface!
